Jag Sihra is a British artist with an infectious enthusiasm for all things creative, and an illustrious career in commercial design already under her belt.
From an early age she was always drawing, painting and making, and she indulged her passion with a BA Hons in Art & Textiles from the prestigious St Martins College of Art & Design, followed by a Masters in Fine Art Textiles from Goldsmiths, London.

Jag worked for many years as a Design Manager with British Airways, managing projects for every touch point of the travel experience. From original concept to implementation, she proved to be an inspirational and insightful leader and always at the heart of her work was a natural ability to understand and harness core brand values and apply design in the most appropriate and beautiful way.

Continuing to combine her love of travel and design, Jag went on to further her experience at Virgin Atlantic where she was instrumental in strategising and implementing innovative interior spaces onboard their newly acquired A350 aircraft. Inspiring her team to step beyond industry boundaries and draw from the wider worlds of fabric, fashion and interior trends to create a new and exciting social space up in the air.

Her globetrotting exploits have served to fuel her passion to return to the drawing board and her experiences have provided such rich inspiration, not least in the patterns and designs that are now depicted in her range of silk accessories. Born in Kenya, with Indian heritage and raised in London with the best of British training behind her, Jag’s art is abundant with a myriad of diverse cultural influences.  At College she was instantly captivated by modern Colour Theory. Twentieth-century Painting styles such as The Impressionists and The Fauvist movement recurrently inform her colour palette, resulting in a rich and decadent cadence.

Jag has built a large body of personal work including scarf ranges for Liberty of London and silk accessory ranges for Luxury Fragrance and Couture Houses. Her collection of unique and timelessly beautiful pieces continues to grow and can now be purchased online.She also enjoys working on bespoke projects, developing personalised designs or art for clients, which can be reproduced on silk, either as one-off commissions or larger scale customised Brand collaborations.

Having carefully researched the best production partners for her beloved designs, Jag is delighted to have forged close working relationships with a number of top British manufacturers, thereby ensuring the highest quality and enduring finishes which embody the spirit, passion and beauty of her original hand-drawn artwork.

Jag lives with her husband and their young triplet boys in Berkshire.
